Cold Therapy

Useful Information

Introducing a new feature to our programme that is ‘making waves’ in the world of mental health and well-being – cold therapy.

The Mental Benefits of Cold Therapy

Cold therapy, also known as cryotherapy, is recognised for its physical benefits. However, its mental health benefits are equally noteworthy and supported by research.

Stress Reduction

One of the standout benefits of cold therapy is its ability to reduce stress. When the body is exposed to a level of cold temperature, it triggers a response that helps lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress. By incorporating cold therapy into our program, we are providing our clients with a natural, alternative and effective way to manage stress, a common symptom often experienced during therapy.

Mood Enhancement

Many individuals feel a sense of calm, and well-being after a cold therapy session. This can be a tool in teaching alternative routes to combating symptoms of depression and anxiety, offering our clients an example of a natural, healthy approach to improving their mental health.

Improved Mental Resilience

Controlled discomfort, such as that experienced during cold therapy, can help individuals develop resilience and mental fortitude. By facing the challenge of the cold, our clients learn to push past their comfort zones and taste a newfound sense of inner strength.

Whole-healing

True healing encompasses mind, body, and spirit -our introduction of cold therapy is in line with our dedication to comprehensive approaches to recovery.
